Thermokinesis is the ability to heat anything without the presence of liquid water, and to raise the temperature of the air molecules around an object and person. It can be guessed that this power is an amplified version of Hydro-Thermokinesis.
In "Bad Moon Rising", it was shown that the power of Hydro-Thermokinesis could easily get out of control. Under the effects of the Full Moon, Rikki goes crazy, heating everything without the presence of liquid water. However, it only lasted when the Full Moon was up, and her ability was gone when the Full Moon set.
In "Mermaid Magic", Rikki used her power to heating the Mako rock Will recovered from the Moon Pool, without the presence of liquid water.
In "Careful What You Wish For", Ondina used her power to heat the air around Cam Mitchell causing him to sweat.
In "The Siren", Mimmi used her power heating up the phone, forcing Carly Morgan to let go of it.
