Miranda Holt (Dr. Holt) is the Gilbert family's doctor. She was called by Lisa Gilbert when Cleo pretended to faint to prevent getting wet by the rain.
Soon Emma and Rikki joined in Cleo's charade, and used their powers to fake symptoms. Miranda Holt concluded that they have contracted some sort of highly contagious tropical disease, and they needed to be quarantined until CDC (Central Disease Control) arrives. Miranda wanted to do more tests, but fortunately the preliminary samples she took revealed the girls to be healthy. It also revealed that Elliot had measles. This made the arrived Professor Gorman extremely disappointed in Miranda, for wasting his time.

- Miranda's character's last name is Holt, the same as the last name of Claire Holt, the actress who plays Emma on H2O: Just Add Water.
