The Way of the Dragon is the 8th episode of season 3 of Mako: Island of Secrets.
Synopsis[]
On the eve of the full moon, Ondina and Mimmi defy Veridia's orders. Evie becomes suspicious when she spots Zac and Weilan meeting in secret again.
Plot[]
Veridia's preparations for a confrontation with the Water Dragon on the night of the full moon leaves Mimmi and Ondina watching over the little mermaids in the caves beneath Mako Island. Unhappy at being left out of the action, the girls make their own secret plan to join the fight, as does Evie. Weilan misdirects Veridia to keep the pod on the far side of Mako Island, out of harm's way. Not believing the pod is capable of defeating the Water Dragon, Weilan's plan is to lure the Water Dragon into the Moon Pool where Zac can turn its magic back on it. However, when Evie learns of Zac's involvement she goes to the Moon Pool in search of him. Alone, the pair face off against the fearsome Water Dragon - with terrible consequences.

- Evie loses her tail permanently in this episode. It's unknown if the Moon Pool' s curse can work on her again, since Weilan said nothing about the Eastern pod regaining their mermaid forms.
