Luke David Mitchell plays Will Benjamin in Season 3 of H2O: Just Add Water.
Personal life[]
Mitchell comes from a tennis-loving family and played from the age of five to nineteen. He aimed to go professional but gave it up after realizing it was the only thing in his life. He has an older brother (who coaches tennis on the Gold Coast), two younger brothers (one used to play tennis and the youngest plays at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra) and a younger sister. Mitchell went to school at Nerang State High School.
Career[]
Mitchell trained at the Film & Television Studio International and worked with professionals such as Joss McWilliam, Iain Gardner, Kim Krejus, Craig McMahon and Dean Carey. He traveled around Australia with international entertainment company Sudden Impact Entertainment and worked in their live theatre shows.
Whilst working in Melbourne he successfully auditioned for the guest-role of Chris Knight in Neighbours and appeared in 11 episodes. He then moved back to the Gold Coast to play the part of Will Benjamin in H2O: Just Add Water.
In 2008, Mitchell filmed the gay-themed romance Performance Anxiety, which was selected as part of the 9th Annual Brisbane Queer Film Festival as a screening for cast and crew.
In June 2009, Mitchell relocated to Sydney and, As of 2010, he is starring as Romeo Smith in Home and Away. Mitchell won his first acting award, a 2010 TV Week Logie for Most Popular New Male Talent, for his role on Home and Away.

Trivia[]
- Luke has been married to Home and Away co-star Rebecca Breeds since January 2013.
- Interestingly, Breeds has appeared alongside Indiana Evans in Home and Away, as well as Cariba Heine in Blue Water High and also with Phoebe Tonkin, Claire Holt and Andrew Lees in The Originals.
- It was at 19, when Luke was training seven days a week when he realized tennis was the only thing that revolved around his life; so he decided to give it up.
