This diary belonging to Cleo Sertori is where she writes presumably about her life, and it is also where she first wrote all about the mermaid things she knew.
Story[]
The diary has drawings of Cleo, Rikki, and Emma as mermaids on the pages, and it contains every little detail about their mermaid secret (except for their names).
Cleo keeps the diary under her t-shirts in her drawer, but when Kim is looking for a belt to borrow, she finds Cleo's diary in the drawer and is close to finding out the secret. Kim shows the diary to Emma's brother Elliot. He doubts her at first until Emma accidentally freezes his shower. When Kim tries to expose her sister at the Miss Sea Queen Pageant, Cleo protects her identity by using her powers to protect herself from the water that Elliot sprays on the stage with the hose. Then Cleo convinces Kim that the diary is only a homework assignment. At the end of the episode, Cleo destroys the diary by taking it to the Moon Pool and letting it sink to the bottom, making the pages unreadable.

Trivia[]
- Cleo appears to be a good artist in season 1 with the diary pages, but she appears to lack the ability in season 2, when Lewis tries to teach her self-control though painting.
- However since it was training exercise to use her newfound powers it’s likely Cleo couldn’t click with it since she certainly demonstrated the ability to draw which is different than painting.
- The first line Kim reads is "My secret life".
